Walking with You
A Little About My Work
I am a counsellor specialising in Trauma-Focused Therapy, working with people of all ages who face emotional and behavioural challenges due to past traumatic experiences. Many of my clients are navigating difficulties such as PTSD, depression, anxiety, panic, emotional regulation issues, self-harm, suicidal thoughts, eating disorders, ADHD, and autism.
I work in primary and secondary schools on Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays offering therapy to children and teenagers. On other days, I offer therapy for adults in my private practice.
How I Work
Trauma affects each person in unique ways. Some find it easier to talk about their experiences, while for others, the pain can feel too overwhelming or difficult to express. I aim to support each person in a way that feels right for them, using both verbal therapy and non-verbal (boby-based work) techniques. Recognising that trauma often lives within the body, and not always in words, I bring in creative tools like paints, crayons, sand trays, miniatures, and sound-making materials such as drums and toys that shake. These tools help people reconnect with their feelings, senses, and memories in a safe, gentle space where they can begin to heal.
A Bit About Me
Outside of my work, I find peace and inspiration in nature. Whether cycling, walking through the forest, or simply listening to the birds, I feel grounded and recharged by the natural world. I also treasure time spent with my young daughter, whether we're laughing together, singing, or simply sharing a quiet moment. Children have this natural gift of bringing joy and humour into the simplest moments, and it’s a quality that, as we grow and face life’s hardships, can fade away. That lost sense of playfulness and lightness becomes even more precious and meaningful as we get older, and I feel truly grateful to learn it once again through the eyes of a young soul.
Why I Do What I Do
I’m inspired by the resilience of the human spirit—the way people overcome hardships and find their strength. Being part of these journeys is a privilege, and I’m deeply grateful for the trust my clients place in me. Witnessing moments of healing—when the darkness lifts, relief sets in, or a smile breaks through tears—fuels my passion for this meaningful work every day.
A Message for My Clients
Thank you for your trust and courage to embark on this journey of healing and growth. Taking the first step is never easy, but it’s a powerful act of bravery that opens the door to change. I am honored to walk alongside you as you create a new chapter in your life, filled with resilience, hope, and transformation. Your strength inspires me every day.
